Pacific Languages & Linguistics Lab

The Pacific Languages & Linguistics Lab (PacLab) at Swarthmore College is set up to support fieldwork and other scholarship related to the languages of the Pacific, especially the Austronesian languages and those spoken on and around the island of New Guinea. Our projects focus on processing, analysis, and dissemination of field data, projects relating to language contact and change, and other work on understudied languages.
