entomophagy (n)

entomophagy: ‘the act of eating bugs’. Heard in the Ologies podcast.

entomo– Greek for ‘cut up’, used to refer to insects b/c of their divided abdomens (cf entomology ‘the study of insects’) + –phagy ‘the eating of’, also Greek.
